Get Confident in the Basics for Women
Provides a fantastic first experience of golf, where the focus is on getting outdoors, having fun, and learning the fundamentals of playing golf. This six-week programme enables participants to join a friendly group of like-minded women, to develop their skills, feel more confident and enjoy the physical and mental benefits that getting active through golf brings. The Courses are delivered by PGA Level 2 Coaches, John Pritchard & Willie White, and show the Club’s commitment to increasing the female membership and raising the profile of the club’s activities to address the perception of women’s golf. At the end of the course the participants get a chance to put their new skills into practice by giving it a go on the Course, where they are accompanied by more experienced Women golfers who provide more tips and guidance.
So far, over 80% of the Course participants have become Members of Winchburgh Niddry Castle Golf Club.

Charity Initiatives
Niddry Castle Golf Club has a long history of supporting charity initiatives in and around the West Lothian area.
The club is an Active Assured Accredited Sports Club.
The Junior Coaching initiative was started in 2013. It has been a resounding success over the last thirteen years
thanks to the ongoing commitment of John Pritchard and Willie White and a dedicated team of coaches and helpers.
The club has also played an active role in promoting Get Confident In The Basics For Women
with the aim of bringing adult learners into the game.

Expanded to 18 holes in 2003 after first opening as a nine-hole course in the 1980’s, the 5,914-yard layout negotiates its way around historic Niddry Castle and offers stunning views towards the Pentland Hills, with free-draining land and up-to-date greens ensuring that you’re bound to have an enjoyable round whatever time of the year you pay a visit.
A modern and progressive club, Niddry Castle has a more relaxed dress code than most with smart jeans permitted outside of competitions, while good food is guaranteed in the cosy clubhouse. We’re always happy to welcome visitors and new members, whether they’re beginners or advanced, and we invite anyone interested in golf to come by and see our club up close.
